Job description:        Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Position requires technical leadership skills and adherence to best practice guidelines for executing reservoir simulation projects. Responsible for providing both technical and team leadership within a multi-disciplinary team. Coaching and mentoring entry level team members in skills and techniques required. Plan and manage your individual projects in addition to providing guidance and expertise to others in conducting simulation studies. Manage project processes to assure timely quality results. Deliver high-value results beyond client expectations. Build dynamic reservoir models using geological and petrophysical descriptions, fluid properties, well test and production data. Develop reservoir production forecasts and recommend production optimization scenarios. Maintain close relationship with client to asses needs and offer solutions. Share technical expertise across disciplines. Support the business development team in identifying potential new customers. Interact with customers and deliver presentations. Support discipline leaders in planning integrated multidisciplinary reservoir studies and identify strategic areas of future growth.

Skill Requirements:
Applicant must demonstrate an advanced knowledge of Reservoir Engineering with emphasize in Reservoir Simulation. Applicant is expected to lead multi-disciplinary projects and expertise in asset and project management is required. Knowledge and experience in compositional simulation integrated studies. Experience with commercial compositional simulation software such as Black Oil (Eclipse, GMG, Roxar, Landmark), Compositional (Eclipse, CMG, Roxar, Landmark), Enhance Oil Recovery (Eclipse, CMG, Roxar, Landmark) and Shale Gas (CMG).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for delivering customer reports and presentations as well as relating the business impact of Reservoir Simulation to other disciplines are essential. Excellent problem solving skills with a drive for results. Must be able to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams and be able to communicate and cooperate with team members, other disciplines and management. We are looking for a dedicated, flexible and pro-active individual with a positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Earth Science discipline with + 11 years experience or M.Sc. with 9+ years experience or PhD with 7+ years experience. Experience in integrated reservoir studies with emphasis in compositional reservoir simulation and recovery optimization. Specialties include reservoir simulation, compositional simulation, gas condensate reservoirs, petrophysical and fluid properties data analysis, well test analysis with emphasis on reservoir pressure transient analysis Knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required.
