Job description: Senior/ Advisor Geomechanics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing geomechanics solutions to optimally explore and exploit conventional and unconventional reservoirs, working with other disciplines to provide asset management services and integrated solutions.
Provides assistance to Director Integrated Asset Management as a senior level staff member in pore pressure and/or wellbore stability applications. Is part of a multidisciplinary team to offer integrated reservoir studies. Collaborates and advices on projects with customers, especially with geomechanical consultancy groups and maintains close relationships with key clients. Works with the Reservoir Engineering group in the development of new services and applications. Supports the business development team in identifying potential new customers. Co-authorizes technical papers. Develops and delivers presentations and training courses to staff and customers. Expected to lead a team through an integrated reservoir characterization study with emphasize on Geomechanics. Maintain an active role in appropriate industry organizations.

Skill Requirements:
Applicant must be a team player who is proficient in managing projects and is an expert in a variety of geomechanics principles, methodologies and analysis such as stress modelling, fracture permeability assessments, fault seal analysis, sand production predication, reservoir compaction studies and hydraulic fracturing design. Excellent verbal and written presentation skills for delivering customer reports and presentations as well as facilitating customer and staff training a must. A clear and logical thinker with expert level knowledge within the discipline and the ability to communicate and cooperate at a strategic planning level with team members and other disciplines. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude and high quality interpersonal skills.

Job Requirements

Education, training, experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience or related Earth Science discipline plus 15+ years experience or M.Sc. with 13+ years experience or PhD with 11+ years experience.

Knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required.
